A lot of people might not agree, but I think The Legend of Heroes series were the best (specifically the first game, A Tear of Vermillion). The combat was a bit slow and occasionally tedious, but the story/characters were AMAZING and just so great. It's now my favourite game ever!best tuned based rpg on psp
Disgaea, Final Fantasy Tactics are both great.
The only ones I can stand are Disgaea and FFT. Both very good btw.
by turn based i mean like say pokemon or final fantasy 3,you know with andom encounters then you have the coice of like move,spell,block skip,then options of witch move,know what i mean

Brave Story New Traveler all the way, a bit childish but very good game, the catgirl is very pretty :P
