does anyone have more information on the ...

I know there's a growing number of PSP-3000 topics on the forum, but my question would likely get lost put within one of them, so it warrants a thread. So far the one (and most primary) improvement that interests me is this improved screen. Does anyone have any more detailed information on more specifically how its improved (Beyond just the usual ''higher vbriance color gamut'' stuff)? Also, any word of yet to be unveiled improvements? a little surprised actually that if they were even bothering to revise it again so soon that they didnt do anything about the battery life.does anyone have more information on the ...
there will be a second revision of this screen soon, current psps have 60ms refresh rate, newer ++(psp 3002/3) will have 12ms responce times ,screens with no bluring or ghosting.current 3000 model screen is just brighter really, and more colours, thats about it does anyone have more information on the ...
Also, glare is less of a problem with the new screen.

''as i know it'' is pretty darn vague, if it's true then surely you have some evidence to support it.
he doesn't need evidence, sony released that info and there isnt any much improvement for the 3000, its basically the 2000 w/ a better screen and a built in mic and as he said better colors. http://www.us.playstation.com/News/PressReleases/484

It's probably garbage that sony developed to stop homebrew with it's ever-pointless firmware upgrades that will be installed on every one of the 3000 series.
I hear there is a microphone
From PSP Fanboy.com''So what exactly are the improvements made to the PSP-3000's newly upgraded LCD screen? According to a report by Engadget Japan, the screen is more colorful, has a stronger contrast ratio, and to the praise of gamers everywhere, has a faster response time. The official stats? Color gamut is twice as wide. The contrast ratio is improved 5 times. The response time has doubled. For gamers that have complained about the PSP-1000 and 2000's slow response time (which creates a ghosting effect in certain games), this is certainly good news.Sony just announced at their Leipzig press conference the PSP-3000 series. It will look exactly the same as the current PSP-2000 (Slim %26 Light) model, but will add a built-in microphone and enhanced screen. Apparently, the screen will work better outdoors, being able to resist glare. The built-in microphone will be a huge plus for regular Skype users, and those that take their PSP online via Infrastructure.

Video-Out has also been enhanced, with the system now able to interlace for televisions that don't support a progressive output (that means non-HDTVs).

The PSP-3000 series will be available on October 15th in Europe and will retail for %26euro;199. There will be 8 bundles, each adding one game to the package.''
Hm, so maybe the poster higher up that was claiming a ''newer ++(psp 3002/3)'' with an even faster response time may have just been overexagerating with information based on that report (that is the first report i've read that has listed more than just better colors, even GS's report only listed the higher color gamut).I would like to see how much better and faster this LCD screen is (colors? i never though the current screen had a bad color pallet).Only problem is, the value of my current PSP would probably be more now for trade in :(
Sorry i can't directly post the pictures, for some reason it's not letting me do that, but here is the link-http://www.pspfanboy.com/tag/psp-3000/
Sorry i can't directly post the pictures, for some reason it's not letting me do that, but here is the link-http://www.pspfanboy.com/tag/psp-3000/
wow....they have pictures already, that surprises me (although to be honest, does your current PSP really look like the upper one? because mine doesnt).I still want to see if anyoen can confirm or deny this other report about a further response rate boosto n a future revision, sounds bogus to me, since i dont know how a user would know that (as well as refuse to supply any evidence of it).Well you really did add more than i expected.....now to just get some user reports to see if it's really that much better/different (seriously, they should have just combined this and the PSP lite for one release), and then to get someone to buy my current PSP slim for a reasonable price ;)
