I usually play mine sitting down, so it hasn't been an issue.
9 times. And one time the analog stick popped off. i just stuck it back in and it works fine!
Mine has been dropped a grand total of 5 times. The fifth and final drop happened just two days back when the PSP (in it's soft case) slid out of my pocket while I was doing 80mph on my motorcycle. The handheld itself was smashed into a few hundred pieces as a result.

The soft case doesn't do much for a PSP at those speeds unfortunately. Everything else in the case was lost too. (Including the 8gb memory stick)

Hmm.. maybe once or twice, but just off of my bed, no big deal. The soft case works wonders for little falls like that :3

About three times, all of them on a carpet however- so no damage has been done to my PSP yet...My worst drop was when I dropped my PSP while playing on a bench in my house... The result was pretty minor though- all that happened was that the UMD holder popped open...Fortunately, the game I was playing at the time worked fine once I put the UMD back in.
first time i got the PSP (3 years ago + - )i went to a trip and i drop it =\ and 1 speaker stopped working i sent it to repairing they couldnt repair it (it was psp 1006k and not TA-082!) so they gave me a new one psp 1000 TA-082it almost fell to me like 20 times but i saved it ! ;)

Maybe 5-10 times, but it was on carpet and my bed, so no harm done.
In three years, once and I cought it with my foot8). And then there was this one time when my mom threw it against the wall:o and it stills works:D (Its not in the best shape but works:oops:)

I've dropped mine loads of times, in my case, out of the case, I'm suprised it's still alive to be honest.
i have to admitt im stupid with my psp. I seam to take it everywhere and i always seem to drop it. Luckily nothing has broke yet and there is only one or two scraches on the scream.

lol good advice. Ive only dropped mine once but the screen scraped the wall, the scratches were horrible :( my poor psp....
