I use my Psp to play games... :PThe PSP as an mp3 player - how do you ca ...
bump
Yea i've always wondered about the size of the PSP and listening to music. And it would be pretty hard to acsess the menu, lets say, in a PSP case. Sony really needs to up there game with the media.....
i have a 30 GB Toshiba Gigabeat that's great as an MP3 player except it's battery life is pathetic. So on long trips i usually end up using the PSP as an MP# player in my car. The only complaint i have is i have to position the PSP so the trigger buttons don't inadvertently get hit and skip or restart the track. otherwise, it sounds good through an FM transmitter and has a goo dbattery life just playing music.
I put mine in my pants cargo pocket. I use a long pair of headphones. It works, but running sucks when you have large object flapping front to back.
i think its okay once you bought the remote... cuz your not stuck with the accidentially button pushing/the annoying hold buttonyou can put it in pocket on the inside of your jacket.the most annoying thing is the playlist support....
oh? does the remote disable those buttons or something? maybe i'll get one.
yeah use can put you psp on hold and use the remote instead
o and it doesnt turn on the screen when u use the remote
Just turn off the screen put it on hold and throw it in your backpack or your pocketmine turns off the screen when I press hold hehe :P, and you can always buy the remote and headphonesI always take it with me in the morning when I go jogging, I use the slim though, my phat would make my pants drop, LOL
i used to but i bought a 30gb Ipod Video which took care of a heavy MP3 player problem. I used my psp a game system, movie player, and mini ''laptop'' for internet.
I know what this guy mean. the i love my PSP only time when i use it as a MP3 is when im in the car. or when im sitting down someone for a long periods of time. like in a office or something. i dont walk around with my head set on cuz i feel like someone is just going to come up and take my PSP.but all and all i love the PSP best gaming hand held ever made
Psp for gamesApple iPod for musicProblem solved!
Psp for gamesApple iPod for musicProblem solved!
QFTSeriously guys, if it was any smaller then it would be a sucky gaming system. I think the entire point of adding music or whatever is extra value/amusement for GAMERS who decide to buy the console. If you're thinking of buying a PSP purely for multimedia and don't plan to play games AT ALL then it's a waste of money, but if you like playing games and listening to music, it's extra value. So yeah, think of it this way- if they made it smaller, gamers would lose out, and that would be pretty sad for a GAMING system.

There are yet again falws and flaws that have to be noted this time with the remote - no access to the playlist which makes selecting the song you want a pain and if you have around 20 mp3s can you imagine skipping from the 4th to 17th with that remote? Next, next, next, next, next... ****! better take it out, realese from hold, turn on the screen, navigate through the playlist and select the song you want... which is also a pain but it REALLY is faster than skipping that much with the remote- the cable is TOO LONG and it's really funny [or sad] because I use headphones with the shortest cable [which is 1.2m], they're meant to be used with mp3 players you wear on a leash and even when you combine them with the remote, the remote cable just sticks out so you have to find a way to hide it in your pants or under your shirt which makes things EVEN more uncomfortable [like having a brick in your pocket wasn't enogh] Interesting... I also have a SLIM PSP but wait... you're jogging with it? You're kidding, right? There's a high probability of your pants falling down with the SLIM, too. Not to metion of tripping with it. Like I mentioned I'm not intending on trolling but all those guys that sold their PSP the first day they bought one did a wise choice. I finally get it why the PSP is being drooled over on these forums. It's being drooled over by 13 yr old kids that didn't get the chance to play the last generation's great ps2 games. The PSP is really one piece of bad hardware. 90% of games play like watered-down ports of PS2 games (GoW:CoO, SH:O, CC:FFVII) or exactly like them and the other 10% are just dull tetris/puzzle games.Don't even try to argue with this one. All the design that goes into games on the PSP is just this - take a PS2 game, cut out 40% of the content, add a 5min story and there you go if not that just port the whole game, if not that make a puzzle game with the budget of 10$. There are NO PSP games that make any improvements in the handheld ''on the go'' revenue. They all feel to much like you're playing a PS2 game with less content to make it fit the ''on the go'' law of handhelds. I'm not saying playing PS2 games on the go is a bad idea but it's poorely executed on the PSP. All the glare hitting on the PSP screen when you're outside makes it annoying and if you're beating the games on the PSP 99% times at home what's the point on playing it on such a small screen when you can just grab the controler and play it on your TV? And the PSP being a mini-laptop? LOL, just no. Even with CF the PSP is just a photo, music, movie, game player and NOT a laptop. Also using hombrew like calculators, bookreaders or just surfing the internet is just horrible on the PSP.Should have thought twice before buying the PSP. I could have saved up some more and buy a laptop + DS. But let me sum it up with this. There is one thing the PSP is really good at... and that's being a good MP4 player but that's about it. T_T

T_T
idk about u but most people dont stroll around town playing a psp, as u bump into someone or something. the psp is meant to be played anywhere in the house or car or something. a tv console, u need to be near a tv, at least i can be anywhere in my house to play my psp.the games are great on the psp if u ask me. not all games are ports, and the games that are similar to ps2 games such as socom, and syphon filter and burnout and daxter and ratchet and clank are really great games, and playing online in games on a handheld is impressive. plus some people LIKE puzzle games.the psp isnt exactly a mini-laptop, what he meant is that he likes to surf the web on his psp. is that a problem?i do agree on you with psp mp3 player, its too bulky. it would be more usefull if games had custom soundtracks so u could load up your own tunes from your memory stick.
i say that the psp is a great gaming system and mp3 player. it holds enough music for me with a measly 2 gig memory card. i have a little nintendo ds backpack thingamajig that i use for a psp holder. when i go biking etc. i use that to hold the psp on my back so you can barely feel it. besides, ipods are over rated.
