Ghouls and Ghosts WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO KILL YOURSELF. I reccomend megaman but ghosts is still a fun game, just very hard and aggrivating
I would go with MMX because it is an amazing fun game, one of the best sidescrolling MM games, and the big factor is, it's actually playable. I mean so is Ultimate Ghouls and Ghosts, but idk if you have ever played any of the games in that series, they are VERY VERY hard. I'm not saying difficulty is a bad thing, but the difficulty in that game comes down to its mechanics imo, the character control is sort of stiff and monsters just endlessly spawn, it can be difficult to aim your weapon to hit where you want. Idk, imo, the ghouls and ghosts series is hard for all the wrong reasons, MMX will offer a decent challenge while still being really fun.
It actually depends on what kind of atmosphere/concept you like. Personally I would go with UGnG because I like knights, monsters, magic type of thing. Megaman is more futuristic, robots, laser guns etc. If you like fantasy stuff the levels of UGnGs are beautifully designed. Each level has a different feeling and the musics are awesome. I like its graphics more than MMX.On the other hand, yeah the UGnG is hard but if you are familiar with platformers it is not that bad. The controls are different but once you get used to it, understand the mechanics it becomes pretty smooth. That's the way it was for the past GnG games so, its like a tradition. If you think that hard = no fun, UGnG is not a game for you for sure.To sum up, it actually depends on which concept attracts you more.
I was actually looking at Mega Man Powered Up. It looks pretty cool.
i havent play either but megaman because im a fan of the series
Go with Mav hunter, great game revamped with anime cut scenes and an overall great package, tons to do and see and you feel proud when you beat it
