IYO, When did PSP become worth getting?

I'm not a DS fanboy but I do play mine a lot. There are a lot of great titles on it: FFXII:RW, Castlevania, Advance Wars, Zelda. If only it had a 2d Metroid...*sigh*I'm not anti-PSP, I'd actually be interested in getting one. But its library has seemed less than impressive until recently (GoW, Patapon, FFCC:VII). With these titles coming out I really see the system hitting maturity and finally having enough titles out to warrant a purchase. So here's my question: Did you know you were taking a chance on your PSP if you got it before these titles or were you already convinced by the titles that had already come out? Or, in other words, in your opinion when did the system become officially worth getting in terms of available titles? IYO, When did PSP become worth getting?
It was always worth buying. IMO.IYO, When did PSP become worth getting?
I got mine 2 years ago and am very happy with it, never board but one can make a great case that only now would it be worth it to get one. Still isn't that the same with anything. I have the Phat one too! now thats Old school and i didn't regret waiting for the thin one. I'm not sure who said this but i like it.''i would rather regret something i did, than something i didn't''
i think psp had a problem in starting but now it is as u already said ''hitting maturity and having titles out to warrant its purchase''
i have had mine since October 2005, and i haven't had any regrets yet. I agree with what you said originally, with the library ''hitting maturity'' with GoW and FFCC:VII, but lumines, when it came out originally, was amazing as was locoroco and lemmings. I also own plenty of UMD movies and without any spectacular games in the beginning, the portable movies alone kept me a fan. Don't get me wrong, i love my ds and find both to be extremely fun. I have been playing my ds a lot more with FFXII:RW and Professor Layton, but i have a feeling its about to be switched for awhile with me picking up FFCC:VII and GoW this week. IMO, pick up a PSP (new or used) and start enjoying.
I got mine as soon as God of War COO came out and it is worth it
I've had mine since launch and I've always been satisfied with the library. I've got a growing backlog of PSP games to get through. So little time.
Now. I got mine about a month ago and it's great, I'd gotten bored of my DS, so I though hey why not get a PSP, I'm getting Def Jam (I freaking loved that game on GC) and GTA next week, to add to Burnout and Syphon Filter, and also God of War as soon as I get enough money, gotta save for Mario Kart Wii next.Basically if you look at PSP as a handheld like a Gamboy then you'll find it strange, but if you see it as a portable console, which is what it is, then you'll love it.
had it since september 14th (slim release date UK) but i wish i actually invested in one earlier.
i got 1 in dec 2004 and got 2 slims on sep 2007 i had a psp from day 1 it was always worth-it but now it's a no brainier
When I saw the final fantasy remakes announced I thought about getting one but the remake of tactics is what sold me.
I'm not putting the DS down in no way, but I just have to defend the fact that most of the DS games out now where games that came out on the Sony PSone system, and none of those games are on the PSP. I was like wtf, why is it so? the graphics on the PSP are way better than of that of the DS, but then again the DS is just a different experience then the PSP. On the DS I've noticed more kid style games like pokemon, and the a great abundance of action titles. Many of which you won't see on the PSP. IMO getting a PSP is the best investment you can get. Games, Movies, Internet, Chat, Mp3, and still more. What more can you ask for...
IMO the psp is always worth the money it costs cos it's like a mini computer that lets you play good games, play music and vide, browsing and many other features. i've had mine when they came out first and i'm always using it
No doubt in my mind PSP is great. I've had mine since launch day and have bought 2 slim psp since then as well, silver %26 Black.
When Sony first announced it at E3 ''I always purchase Playstation products''
what other system lets u post on gamespot forums from the crapper :P
thing is I got my psp slim to replace my ipod and so far it fulfills that purpose, the great games are just a bonus
When I finished Burnout revenge and I wanted more burnout, also When I got the money to buy it, and I knew about all of its capabilitiesjuly 2006And then, GOW bundle on June 2008 (I want that beautiful red psp slim, with Kratos on it)
I got mine two weeks ago... god of war and crisis core pretty much tipped the scales for me... i still gotta find a copy of crisis core haven't seen one yet... for me it was the price i got a pretty good deal on my slim $180 for the slim, Metal Gear Portable Ops and 2 gigs... plus my ps3 was getting lonely and my DS was just collecting dust after Zelda... that and i'm finally reunited with one of my favorite game of all time Street Fighter Alpha 3 it plays great on the PSP... there so many things you can do with music, videos, games it's the total package... plus I still got a bunch of games to get in the future... Wipeout Pulse, Tekken, Castlevania, Burnout... it should keep me busy for a while... I have no regrets getting it
as soon a I found out I can play old games and ff7!
