Do PSP Mint Green need to update like most PSP's?If so can you tell me how my friend told me to help him find out
You Need To Go Here, Go All The Way Down Until You See A Yellow Tab With Two Arrows, Click It, Send The ''EBOOT'' File, To Your PSPhttp://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jp.playstation.com%2Fpsp%2Fupdate%2Fud_01.html%26sl=ja%26tl=en%26hl=en%26ie=UTF-8Understand that if you got your PSP in Japan, wheither you like it or not, you will have to download the Japanese firmware only because the Japanese PSP was made specifically for that firmware, not any other firmware, from any other country. So although you may hate Japanese, you will ''HAVE'' to do this, because SONY specifically says on the American and Japanese site in ''ENGLISH'' to only download firmware from the country you got the ''PSP''.So you will need to save that site I gave you to a computer/hard drive, so ever time you update, you don't have problems not being able to find the update firmware page on the Japanese Playstation site. Regardless of what some may say, the firmware updates are always important and should be downloaded from the country the PSP is from with ''NO'' exceptions period.psp mint green update
Thank You very much for the link. Oh and 1 more thing and it's a bit off topic, when you buy the psp mint green, is the menu in japanese or english and is there another difference between the us system and the japanese system besides size and power?
1. You can swith the PSP in English when you first buy it or later on when ever you want.2. The Japanese have a TV Tuner/GPS/Camera/Microphone etc for the PSP, so you may see some icons on your PSP menu when you first use it, which will always be there because they have stuff in there firmware not used in other countries, so you may see stuff on the PSP menu that wouldn't be on the PSP menu of other coutnries firmware. But the TV Tuner will only work in Japan so don't bother buying it, but the thing to activate it, will be on the menu screen, but can't be used unless you have a TV Tuner for the PSP and plan on taking a trip to Japan to get it to work, which I don't recommend because even then, its all in Japanese.3. One more thing, importing a PSP automatically voids the Warranty, so if you tell SCEA or SCEJ that you have a faulty PSP from Japan, they will not fix it no matter what because it was imported from Japan and SONY wants you to only buy stuff from your region with no exceptions, even to this day, companies try to be too non international which may upset import buyers. Also, the only way to get out of this, is to have a friend in Japan, trick SCEJ into thinking they had a faulty Japanese PSP and then they fix it because they wouldn't know it was imported/exported from Japan by you and your so called friend from Japan would have to act as if it was their PSP just so it could be fixed without them knowing it was imported by you.4. You will not be able to watch Region 1 UMD Videos, you will only be able to watch Region Free %26 Region 2 UMD Videos.
LOL on the 3 and thx,but how do u switch it t english my friend keep on nagging me right now
When you first turn on your PSP for the very first time, it will ask you what language you want it in. By the way, read number 4 if you have interest in watching UMD Videos. Also, buy it from Playasia, they give you a six month warranty, SONY gives you no warranty from import products, so BEWARE.
